1. Who we are

Pocktt Pty Ltd (ABN to be issued, “Pocktt”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Pocktt platform at pocktt.info and related domains. We help Australian homeowners sell their property privately. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. What we collect

We collect personal information including:

• Name, email address and phone number;
• Property address and listing details (photos, descriptions, price, inclusions);
• Buyer enquiries, inspection bookings and offer details exchanged through the platform;
• Identity and verification information where required to sign a vendor authority or contract;
• Technical data: IP address, device, browser, pages visited, referral source.

3. How we use it

• To create, manage and publish your listing;
• To connect you with buyers, conveyancers, lawyers and our licensed agent partners;
• To send transactional emails (enquiries, inspection confirmations, contract status);
• To send marketing and product updates — you can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link;
• To improve the platform, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We only share personal information with third parties when it's necessary to deliver the service you've asked for:

• Property portals — realestate.com.au, Domain and other portals you authorise us to publish to;
• Licensed agent partners — to upload your listing under their REA agency licence;
• Optional legal partners — only when you explicitly choose to engage them. We don't share your data with conveyancers or lawyers unless you instruct us to;
• Service providers — hosting, email delivery, analytics and payment processing, bound by confidentiality and data-handling obligations.

We never sell your personal information. We don't share it with overseas recipients except where required by our hosting and email infrastructure providers.

5. How we store and protect it

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to authorised Pocktt personnel on a need-to-know basis. We retain listing and transaction records for 7 years to meet Australian record-keeping obligations.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct or request deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing privacy@pocktt.info. You can also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) if you believe we've mishandled your information.

7. Cookies

We use first-party cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences and basic analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser; some platform features won't work without them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent in-app notice. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
